02

Data handled by the app

  • Block Atelier is published by Blacksunset OÜ, registration number 16513658, Hariduse põik 1, Kõrveküla alevik, Tartu vald, Tartu maakond, 60512, Estonia. Blacksunset OÜ is the controller of personal data that we process for the purposes described below. Contact us at info@blacksunset.ee (mailto:info@blacksunset.ee) about privacy or support.
  • This policy covers the Block Atelier Android app, package ee.blacksunset.blockatelier, and related support. It also explains what happens when you open our public app website or this policy in a browser.
  • Block Atelier has no advertising, advertising SDK, developer-operated analytics tracker, or developer-operated game server. You do not create a Block Atelier account. We do not receive your game board, moves, scores, or settings through a game server.
  • The app stores the following in its private storage on your device: ongoing Classic and Daily games; scores and daily results; the number of free games used; tutorial progress; and preferences such as language, sound, vibration, contrast, and reduced motion. These records let you resume play, see your results, keep your preferences, and apply the shared ten-game trial. They are not sent to us for analytics.
03

Permissions

  • Internet and network-state access support Google Play purchases, purchase checks and restoration. Vibration supports optional haptic feedback. Block Atelier does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or shared files.
04

Storage and security

  • The app is configured to exclude its private data from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. It does not offer cloud saves or synchronise game progress between devices. This applies to the app's data; your separate Google Play purchase history is managed by Google.
  • Local saves and the verified receipt are protected by Android app-private storage controls. Block Atelier does not add a separate encrypted vault or app password. Protect device access using Android security settings.
05

Third-party services

  • The app uses Google Play Billing for the optional one-time full-game unlock. Google Play displays the final local price before you confirm the purchase. The app communicates with Google Play to retrieve the offer, check an existing purchase, complete and acknowledge a purchase, and restore access. Purchase checks can happen when the app starts or returns to the foreground, including during free play. Using the trial therefore does not mean that no information is processed by Google.
  • Google handles the payment process and information associated with your Google account, transaction, and payment method. We do not receive your full payment-card number or bank-account credentials from the app's purchase flow. The app receives purchase information from Google Play, including the product, purchase status, purchase token, and signed purchase receipt. It keeps a verified copy of the signed receipt in private storage excluded from backup, so it can recognise the unlock on that installation. The receipt can contain order and purchase-time information supplied by Google. The app does not upload this receipt to a server operated by us.
  • The Google Play Billing SDK sends technical billing diagnostics to Google. These include billing results and errors; randomly generated session identifiers that link related billing events; app, billing-library and Android versions; device characteristics such as model, manufacturer, system build and memory capacity; and network, mobile-operator, language and time-zone information. The SDK can keep events in an on-device queue before sending them. This transmission supports billing operation and troubleshooting, can occur during free play without completing a purchase, and has no off switch in Block Atelier. It is separate from developer-operated gameplay analytics, which Block Atelier does not include: the app does not send your game boards, moves or scores through this diagnostic channel. Google's processing, retention, international transfers, and account controls are described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
  • We may receive the order information, sales reports, aggregated statistics, and technical reports that Google makes available to publishers through Play Console. We use these to administer purchases, support users, meet applicable accounting obligations, and understand app reliability. We do not use these reports to create advertising profiles.
  • If you use a complimentary access code, Block Atelier verifies it on your device and stores the signed licence, including its licence identifier, in private storage excluded from backup. The code is not sent to us or Google for redemption, and no app account is required. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the local copy; keep the code if you want to enter it again. Complimentary access is separate from a Google Play purchase and does not disable the Google Play processing described in this policy.
  • Emailing us is optional. If you do, we receive your email address, message, and any name, attachments, device information, or order reference you choose to include. We use these to answer your request and resolve the issue. Please send only information needed for your request; do not send payment-card details, passwords, or purchase tokens. The app does not automatically attach your saved games or receipt to a support message.
  • Support correspondence is handled by people authorised to respond and by the email service providers needed to deliver and store the correspondence. We do not sell your personal data or use support messages for advertising.
  • Opening the app website or this policy creates a normal browser request. Our hosting infrastructure may process the IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and technical logs needed to deliver and protect the website. This website activity is separate from local gameplay; opening the page does not upload your saved game to us. An external service you choose to open, such as Google Play or your email provider, applies its own privacy terms.
06

Advertising and purchases

  • The app offers ten free games shared across Classic and Daily, then a one-time full-game unlock through Google Play. A trial game counts on its first valid move; resuming a started game does not spend another trial game. Google Play displays the final local price before purchase. There are no advertisements or subscriptions.
  • Where the GDPR applies, we process information necessary to provide the requested app functionality, purchased access, and related support to perform our contract with you. We rely on our legitimate interests in answering general enquiries, keeping our services secure and reliable, and resolving disputes where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We process records required by applicable law to meet legal obligations, including accounting obligations.
  • We disclose information only as needed for these purposes to the service providers involved in payment, email, and website delivery, or when legally required, for example to an authorised public authority. Google also processes information for its own services as described in its privacy policy; we do not control Google's separate retention or account settings.
07

Retention and deletion

  • Local game data remains on your device until it is replaced during normal use, you clear the app's storage, or you uninstall the app. You can remove it through Android Settings → Apps → Block Atelier → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling Block Atelier. Menu names may vary by device. This removes local game progress, the local purchase receipt and any stored complimentary licence. We cannot retrieve or erase local game saves remotely because we do not hold them on a game server.
  • Clearing storage or uninstalling does not cancel an existing purchase or erase Google's purchase records. An eligible purchase can be restored through Google Play using the Google account that owns it. Contact Google or use its account controls for data held by Google.
  • We retain support correspondence and any reports or transaction records we hold only for as long as necessary to resolve the request, administer the purchase, meet applicable legal recordkeeping duties, or establish or defend a legal claim. Website logs are retained only as needed for operation, security, and investigation of technical issues. The period depends on the purpose, the status of the issue, and any applicable legal duty; we do not retain such information indefinitely without a continuing reason. You may ask us to delete personal data we hold at info@blacksunset.ee (mailto:info@blacksunset.ee).
08

Your rights and contact

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, and a portable copy where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us using the address above; we may need information sufficient to confirm your identity and locate the relevant correspondence or record. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority or the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (https://www.aki.ee/en/guidelines-legislation/how-can-we-help-foreign-persons-and-authorities). We will update this page if the app's data practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide an additional notice or obtain consent before introducing a new use of personal data.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

This policy may be updated when the app or legal requirements change. The revision date above shows the current version.
