Medication Reminder

01

Controller and scope

The publisher and controller for developer-managed processing is Blacksunset OÜ, Estonian registry code 16513658. Contact: info@blacksunset.ee.

Hariduse põik 1, Kõrveküla alevik, Tartu vald, Tartu maakond, 60512, Estonia.

If you email support, the studio processes your email address and message only to answer the request and meet applicable legal obligations.

02

Data handled by the app

  • Medication Reminder is provided by Blacksunset OÜ (registry code 16513658), using the Google Play developer name Blacksunset Studio. Contact: info@blacksunset.ee. Address: Hariduse põik 1, Kõrveküla alevik, Tartu vald, Tartu maakond, 60512, Estonia. This policy covers the Android app ee.blacksunset.medicationreminder.
  • You enter medicine names, amounts, instructions and schedules. The app stores these details, your taken/skipped/unanswered records, recorded times, corrections and display preferences in its private storage on your Android device. These records are used to schedule reminders and display your history and reports. The app does not send your medication records to Blacksunset or an advertising or analytics service. It has no app account, developer backend, advertising SDK or developer tracking analytics. It does not access Health Connect, contacts, location, the microphone or camera.
03

Permissions

  • The app requests notification permission to show reminders and access to alarms and reminders to schedule them at the selected times. It receives restart and clock-change events and briefly keeps the device awake to process due reminders. Medication names and instructions may appear in notifications. You can enable the setting to hide medicine names on the lock screen; Android notification and lock-screen settings also affect what is visible. The app does not send remote push notifications. Internet access supports Google Play purchases; your scheduled reminders and local records do not require an internet connection.
04

Storage and security

  • You can deliberately export a CSV history or JSON backup, or import a backup, using Android's file picker. The app reads or writes only the file you select for that operation. These files may contain sensitive medication details and are not encrypted by the app. Choose a destination you trust. If you choose a cloud-storage provider or share the file later, that provider or recipient handles the copy under its own terms. Exports are not uploaded to Blacksunset. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup of the app's private records are disabled.
  • The app uses Android's app-private storage and does not allow cleartext network traffic. It does not add its own password or database encryption layer. Device security, a screen lock and care with exported files remain important. No system can guarantee absolute security.
05

Third-party services

  • One active medicine can be used without payment or an expiry. An optional one-time Google Play purchase unlocks additional active medicines. Google processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. The app does not receive your card number or bank details. It exchanges product, purchase and acknowledgement information with Google Play to complete, verify and restore the unlock. A signed purchase receipt and verification time are retained privately on the device; they are excluded from the app's export and Android backup. Google may retain transaction records according to its own policies and legal obligations. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/. Google Play Billing can also send technical billing diagnostics and service-interaction events, including app, library and device technical information and results or errors, to Google even if you do not make a purchase. These events do not include medicine names or your medication history.
  • If you email us, Blacksunset and its email providers receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request and meet applicable legal obligations. Please send only the information needed for support. We retain support correspondence only as needed for that purpose and applicable retention duties. You can request access, correction or deletion of developer-held support information at info@blacksunset.ee. The developer cannot view or remotely delete records that remain only on your device.
  • Opening this website sends ordinary request information, which may include your IP address and browser details, to the website hosting provider to deliver the page. This website processing is separate from medication records held locally in the app.
06

Advertising and purchases

  • The app is designed for adults to record their own schedules and responses. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The app does not decide whether a delayed or missed dose should be taken. Reminder delivery depends on device power, Android permissions and system settings.
  • One active medicine is free without an expiry. More active medicines use an optional one-time Google Play purchase, configured at EUR 2.99 in euro-priced regions. Google Play shows the applicable local price before purchase. No subscription or advertising is included. The first release is being prepared and public availability is not yet confirmed.
07

Retention and deletion

  • Local medication records remain until you clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Archiving a medicine preserves its history and is not deletion. Clearing storage removes local settings and the cached unlock receipt; an eligible purchase can be restored through the same Google Play account. Exported files remain in their chosen location and must be deleted separately. There is no developer-hosted medication account to delete. Google purchase records are managed by Google, not by clearing this app.
  • We will update this policy when the app's data handling changes. The revision date is shown above. Privacy and support contact: info@blacksunset.ee.
08

Your rights and contact

Where data-protection law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data controlled by the publisher, and object to processing. Most product data described here is held only on your device and can be managed there.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

This policy may be updated when the app or legal requirements change. The revision date above shows the current version.
