If you email support, the studio processes your email address and message only to answer the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Data handled by the app
- Audio you record and local metadata such as recording names, timestamps, durations, save state and app preferences.
- Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
Permissions
- Microphone access is required only to record audio. Notification permission supports visible ongoing-recording and save status where Android requires it.
Storage and security
- Audio, recording metadata, library entries, save state and preferences are stored locally. They are not uploaded to a Nulleuri or Blacksunset server.
Third-party services
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) collects and manages applicable privacy choices. Google Mobile Ads supplies the free version’s banner advertising after the consent flow allows an ad request.
- Google Play Billing processes the one-time Remove Ads purchase and lets the app restore that entitlement through the user’s Google Play account.
- No developer-operated cloud backend or separate analytics service receives recording audio or metadata.
Advertising and purchases
- Recording and the local library are free. The free version may show consent-aware banner ads. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that can be restored through Google Play; it is not a subscription.
Retention and deletion
- Deleting a recording in MicKeep removes its local audio and metadata. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes remaining app-private recordings, metadata and preferences.
- Copies you shared or saved elsewhere must be deleted from those locations separately. Google retains consent, advertising and purchase data under its own policies; the ad-removal entitlement remains associated with the Google Play account for restoration.
Your rights and contact
Where data-protection law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data controlled by the publisher, and object to processing. Most product data described here is held only on your device and can be managed there.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.
