If you email support, the studio processes your email address and message only to answer the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Data handled by the app
- App-private settings such as haptic feedback, turn-on-at-launch choice, signal-warning acceptance and the eligible-use counter used to delay advertising.
- Google Mobile Ads may automatically process and share IP address, approximate location derived from it, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.
- Google Play processes purchase and transaction information. QuietBeam receives the ad-free entitlement and keeps a local cache of that status.
Permissions
- QuietBeam does not request Android camera permission. It uses Android’s flashlight hardware interface only, never opens a camera preview and never captures photos or video.
- Internet and network-state access support consent, advertising and billing. Vibration supports optional haptic feedback. The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, photos, files or notification access.
- The Home screen widget and Quick Settings tile use Android system capabilities only to toggle the flashlight.
Storage and security
- QuietBeam settings are stored in the app’s private Android storage and are not uploaded to a Nulleuri or Blacksunset server.
- When Android cloud backup or device transfer is enabled by the user, the operating system may back up or transfer the app’s preference data under the user’s platform account settings.
- The cached Pro entitlement is checked against Google Play when billing is available.
Third-party services
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) collects and manages applicable privacy choices before an ad request is allowed.
- Google Mobile Ads supplies the free version’s banner advertising and handles advertising measurement and fraud prevention.
- Google Play Billing processes the one-time QuietBeam Pro purchase and restores the entitlement through the user’s Google Play account.
- Android’s backup or device-transfer service may handle local preference data only when the user has enabled the corresponding operating-system feature.
Advertising and purchases
- QuietBeam does not request ads during the first three eligible light-use sessions. A consent-aware banner may appear in the Torch view from the fourth eligible session onward.
- QuietBeam Pro is a one-time purchase that permanently removes in-app advertising for the purchasing Google Play account. It is not a subscription.
Retention and deletion
- Clearing QuietBeam’s app data or uninstalling removes local settings and the cached entitlement. A platform backup may restore preference data later unless it is also removed through the operating system or account backup controls.
- Google retains consent, advertising and purchase records under its own policies. The Pro entitlement remains associated with the purchasing Google Play account so it can be restored.
- QuietBeam has no developer-managed account or cloud profile to delete. Support emails can be deleted by requesting it at info@blacksunset.ee, subject to applicable legal retention duties.
